Creed Cannulated Compression Screws

Headed and headless cannulated compression screws with radiotranslucent “Ortholucent” technology for better intra-operative visualization.

Overview

Creed is a comprehensive portfolio of headed and headless Ø2.5, 4.3, 5.6 and 7.4 mm self-drilling and self-tapping cannulated compression screws, designed for precise guidewire-assisted placement.

The radiotranslucent properties of the Creed screws are intended to improve visualization during surgery compared with traditional metal implants.

Key features

  • Headed and headless screws, Ø2.5 / 4.3 / 5.6 / 7.4 mm
  • Self-drilling and self-tapping, cannulated for guidewire placement
  • Radiotranslucent “Ortholucent” material for better imaging
  • “Stinger Tip” designed to assist guidewire-following insertion

Our contribution

Design and development of the entire system — implants and single-use sterile instruments — from the first concept to the first implantation, including the 510(k) submission. We managed the verification and validation effort and created all supporting documents for a smooth registration.

The Creed screws were developed in parallel with the Artemis nail. Although the materials differ, they share some of the same technologies. The benefit is improved visualisation during implantation and in post-operative follow-up compared with traditional metal implants.
